Euler is one of the most experienced and trusted ventilation specialists in the industry with wide-ranging operational and technical expertise across different sectors of mining. He is an internationally experienced professional and his qualifications ensure that AirFinders Inc. advice is always proven, up-to-date and relevant to the user.
He has been involved in multiple engineering projects with industry and has a track record of delivering quality results and on time (past 36 years). He provides continuous technical advice to a number of operating mines; provides technical support to junior mining companies; collaborates with various consulting companies; and has provided support to regulatory agencies.
He was affiliated with the Department of Mining Engineering, Queen’s University, as an Associate Professor, for 33 years (1988 – 2021) and was a member of the Board of Directors of G.E.TT. Gold.
He has produced over 577 publications. He has published 182 papers in refereed journals and in conference proceedings and has produced over 371 engineering technical services related technical reports.
He offers Continuing Education and Industrial Training Ventilation Courses on an annual basis (most courses are offered at the mine site).
Dr. De Souza is a registered professional engineer in the Province of Ontario, and holds a Certificate of Authorization with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). He holds B.Sc., M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Mining Engineering. His M.Sc. work relates to research performed while working at Camflo Mines (Quebec) in the early-1980’s, and his Ph.D. work relates to research performed while working at Central Canada Potash (now Mosaic Colonsay Potash) in the mid-1980’s.
